When you arrive at the track

If you are new to the track, or just new to HPDE at NASA SoCal, here is some information to help you find your way at your first event.

Prepare yourself and your car

Check the schedule as soon as you arrive at the track.

Look for the time of your mandatory drivers’ meeting, and the time of your first session.

Clean out your car including the trunk.

Use blue painter’s tape to put numbers on each side of your car.

Attend the drivers’ meeting

This is where you will receive  instructions for the day.

Don’t be late; ALL drivers’ meetings are mandatory!

After the drivers’ meeting, you will go to your first classroom session, unless otherwise specified.

Visit Tech if you need to:

Have your car inspected and receive the appropriate sticker for your class;

Rent a helmet;

Purchase a new logbook;

Replace or purchase decals or stickers (NASA, sponsor, contingency);

Purchase NASA patches.

Tech fees (cash only):

  • Event tech: $10
  • Annual sticker renewal/with logbook: $20
  • Annual sticker with new logbook: $40
  • NASA patch: $5
  • Helmet rental: $20 w/drivers’ license

Go to registration to:

Change your car/driver information;

Find printed copies of the schedule;

Pick up or rent a transponder;

Register for another session or event;

Turn in a completed minor waiver or complete/sign a minor waiver;

Sign a waiver and get a passenger wristband.
