One-Hour TREC Races; All race licenses accepted
We are so excited about Willow Springs repaving Big Willow, that we are adding some racing back to our schedule!
There will be a one-hour sprint race each day, as well as 15 min. warmup and qualifying sessions. We are classifying the race as a Team Racing Endurance Challenge (TREC) in order to give drivers from any motorsport organization the opportunity to experience a freshly paved track, without the need for a NASA competition or Time Trial license. TREC has simple rules and gives drivers a chance to go racing just for the fun of it. Click here for the TREC rules.
We will post the updated schedule soon; in the meantime, details are as follows:
- All competition licenses accepted!! BMW, POC, SCCA, etc. You do not need a NASA competition license; you can have a license from any sanctioning body for this race.
- You will need to purchase a TREC license ($20);
- This is a team event. There is no limit to the number of drivers per team;
- No trophies, no points, just FUN;
- No tire requirement. It is an open-tire race;
- Cars must be able to pass race tech;
- Read the rules (section 4) to understand the classes (TREC 1, 2, 3, 4);
- Drivers without competition licenses will be subject to approval from the Regional Director on a case-by-case basis.
- Due to technical constraints, we are only offering a 2-day registration option; if this is a hardship, please contact us for alternatives.
